The Health Visitor team can assist with any developmental, social or physical concerns in children under the age of 5. The Health Visitors also help to support families at times of difficulty. The Health Visitors make contact visits to newborns and newly registered children under 5, and organise routine childhood immunisations.

District Nurses Tel 441 9128
The District nursing team provide nursing services in the community and especially to the housebound. The District Nurses can arrange dressings, injections, incontinence and catheter services.

Community Midwives Tel 536 9847
Our community midwives usually run clinics on a Monday afternoon at the surgery. Your midwife will arrange your appointments with you.
If you are newly pregnant or have just moved into the area and are pregnant you can now self-refer for antenatal care by telephoning 0131 536 2009 Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. If you prefer to see a GP to discuss your antenatal care, please make a routine appointment via Reception.
Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) Tel 0131 312 2158
Our CPN holds regular consultations in Allermuir Health Centre. Appointments must be arranged by referral through your GP.
