SICK/FIT NOTE’S

How to count sick days

When you work out the number of days that you’ve been sick, you need to count all the days in a row you’ve been sick, including days you don’t normally work such as weekends and bank holidays.

Less than seven days off sick

If you have been sick for more than four days in a row, but less than seven, you can self–certify your illness using a SC2 form available online from HMRC.

Many employers have their own self-certification forms. You do not need to see a Doctor.

2-5 year influenza (flu) vaccination programme

The 2-5 year influenza (flu) vaccination programme has now begun. If your child is aged 2 years of age and above on the 1st September 2021, they will be invited, by letter, to one of the clinics that will be running over the coming weeks across the city. These clinics are being run by the Edinburgh Preschool Vaccination Team.

Winter Vaccination Programme

The Winter Vaccination Programme will start in September 2021.

Covid 19 has meant that we have reflected on what is really important in a diabetic review. Most people with Diabetes are at “low risk” and probably only require examination of their feet every two years. Those at higher risk are likely to be under the care of a hospital clinic.
